America is being bankrupted by a bloated federal bureaucracy that now squanders more of our tax dollars than at any point in our nation's history. We are an overregulated, overtaxed, and overgoverned society.
This year, 53 federal agencies and 127,000 federal employees will spent over $ 17 billion of our tax dollars writing and enforcing federal regulations. This approaches a regulatory reign of terror-especially against small business.
As President, I will begin to roll back this regulation juggernaut by dismantling the Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Department of Commerce. I will also defund the National Endowment of the Arts, National Endowment of the Humanities and Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The Bureau of Land Management will be eliminated, and I will dissolve the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms into the FBI.
