PRINCIPLES OVER MONEY
Date: October 31, 1999
To: The Washington Times
Pat Buchanan offers to voters a voice that has not been "bought"
by corporate PAC-funds or soft-money, and who is not "controlled" by the powerful
RNC or DNC organizations, which function primarily as cash-for-influence
pipelines in our government today. Ironically, much of the money funneled to
both parties come from the same sources. This is why Pat claims both
parties are "two wings on the same bird of prey", and that "today's
two-party system is a sham". The end result is that on trade, foreign
policy, spending, and increasingly, domestic issues, the other major
candidates have the same agenda. In contrast, most of the money raised by
Pat Buchanan comes from small individual contributions. Voters would be
better served if the media focused on campaign contributions and key
issues rather than attacking someone who has stood by his principles and
not bowed down to soft money.
