GETTING THE SHAFTA FROM NAFTA
Date: December 13, 1999
To: Governor Jesse Ventura
If NAFTA, GATT and the WTO are so good for us and they level the playing
field, why in Hell do we have a $360 billion trade deficit?
How can you justify your statement that these programs are good for the
American worker, when American companies are moving their operations to
Mexico taking our jobs with them? They then produce the same products
that were once produced in America by Americans with Mexican slave
labor. They then ship these products back to the U.S. free of charge to an
ever increasing unemployed American workforce. I cannot see how, by any
stretch of the imagination, this can be called a level playing field!
It
seems to me that the American worker has been betrayed by the government
in favor of satisfying corporate America's greed. Damn the working man!
Keep up the good work Jessie and some day when you grow up you'll be a
Democrat or Republican!!!! I am one of those displaced American workers
waiting for one of those high paying high tech jobs the government keeps
promising us. Please tell me where I can find one of them. I'm getting
bored worrying about how I'm going t support myself on my huge
unemployment check. Perhaps I should move to Mexico!
P.S. You too can write to Gov. Ventura at
