TURN RUSH OFF
Date: December 17,
1999 To: Rush Limbaugh
I have written to you a number of times recently Rush and have not
received an answer in any form to the concerns I've expressed! At this
point I see no choice but to advise you that, though I have been a long
time listener and supporter, I've decided to :TURN RUSH OFF!
In addition
to my own decision I am inviting others who have had
similar concerns and experiences to do the same. I've reached
the point where I can no longer ignore what I feel are the changes you and
your program have been undergoing.
Among the many concerns are your
unqualified support for NAFTA, the WTO, etc. -- seemingly without regard
for the economic and sovereignty concerns they represent. Other concerns
include the fact that your program seems to have become, "All Bush, All the
Time", and the growing arrogance you display towards some of your
listeners!
Most importantly you are ignoring the most
important issue of all which I guess could be phrased as, "It's the culture
stupid!" I and many others view the upcoming Presidential elections as
perhaps the last chance to return our country to the Constitution and
the moral standards that are critical if we are going to
continue as a free society. While indicating at times your support for
these issues you don't appear to give them or the candidates who represent
them much air time. Lastly I'm tired of having my views, concerns and
input dismissed as "hate mail" or being told that I and others like me are "a drag on the country"! I hope others will join me in becoming a
"recovering fan" and also TURN RUSH OFF! For those who would also like to
express their decision to you I invite them to join me and TELL RUSH OFF
by contacting you at: RUSH@EIBNET.com
