Dear Pat,
It's your friend Mike Murphy from The Citadel. If you bolt, I bolt. You now have another Army Officer in the Buchanan Brigade. I'll be proud to lead a Company!!!
-- Michael Murphy - Army Officer - El Paso, TX

Dear Brigade,
After being a good conservative Republican for 15 years, I say good riddance to the Republican Party. They have abandoned me and my conservative views. We have a strong leader named Pat Buchanan who will lead this great country into the 21st Century. His views on Immigration, NAFTA and the New World Order are outstanding. I urge all good conservatives, Republicans, Union Democrats and members of the Constitution Party to support Mr. Buchanan and his road to the White House in 2000. And to Rush Limbaugh, I say goodbye, no more EIB, because PJB are the new conservative initials and Pat is now the new Dean of Conservative studies. GO PAT GO!
      -- Mark Hopkins

Dear Linda,
Brentano's at Fashion Square, Camelback and Goldwater Blvd. Did not have A REPUBLIC, NOT AN EMPIRE last week but said they had it on order. I checked again today and they had a nice stack, prominently displayed.   Book Star at The Pavilions, Pima and Indian Bend did not have it, would special order. Said they had none coming in, and that it might be on order.

Barnes and Noble at Shea and Pima said they didn't have it but I found one lone copy and bought it. The registers were not busy so I talked to the girl, who said they had had a LOT of inquiries, were sold out and had it on order.    Then, I pointed out that PJB had written some other significant books, and that they did not have a single one of those in the store. She was interested, made some notes and said she would check into those titles too, and try to get them ordered.
      -- Natalie in Scottsdale, AZ

Dear Linda,
I did a quick check of the Santa Rosa, California, "Barnes and IgNoble" and confirmed they did not have either "The Great Betrayal" or "A Republic, Not an Empire." The same was sadly the case at the Santa Rosa "Borders Books" as well. I admonished both store representatives that their failure to carry these important, best selling works (noting that "A Republic" is # 13 on the New York Best Seller's list) was irresponsible both economically and socially. I also mentioned they lost business because of their chain's decision to not properly stock these particular stores with these works. I also mentioned that Amazon.com does not suffer from these mistakes and offers both of these works now, not after a waiting period while the books are on order.

I'm not trying to buy a gun here so why should I endure a waiting period just to get a prescient work on current events by a presidential candidate poised to make history!?! As far as I am concerned, Barnes and Noble and Borders are the real losers, not me. Now I know where they stand on Patrick "the Patriot" Buchanan. Cordially,
-- Bob Padgett - California Brigade

Dear Linda,
Thank you for the great Website. I look at all the letters from all over, and find they are reflecting my views and opinions. A lot of people have written Pat off ,as formidable force. Personally, I think he is just getting started !! THEY AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN YET !!! Keep up the good work. - there's a lot of us out here , grateful for your work.
      -- Stephen H. Lasco - Tunkhannock, PA

Dear Pat,
As a Roman Catholic and union member of the Laborers I like your anti-free trade policies and your pro-life stand. Thanks for defending America.
-- Kerry Knudsen - Union Laborers Member - Wildomar, CA

Dear Linda,
        Sent this to Rush:
Rush: Hey mister, "Search for the truth" quit your constant knock on Buchanan supporters. Your elitist wave of the magic mike by engrafting Buchanan supporters to this "hate group" or that "hate group" is truly Clintonesque. You claim that you once admired Pat Buchanan but he has now changed. I invite you to look in the mirror, I think you changed, unless I was wrong to admire you. Your criticism of Buchanan supporters pays tribute to Corporal Cueball. What are some of these media purveyors of untruth going to do when the "people" finish reading Pat's book. No. 13 on the New York Times list It's not too late Rush to read the book, it will hurt though, the truth always hurts right Rush?
-- Richard H. Bergeman, III, Esquire - Fleetwood, PA

Dear Brigade,
I heard Pat speak in Texas last night and it was great. Pat Buchanan has a way of making you smile and think real hard at the same time. GO PAT GO! God Bless.
-- Rob Teel - Oklahoma Brigade

Dear Linda,
I am from the Pittsburgh area and would like to commend Jim Quinn of 96.9 WRRK for pushing Buchanan recently! He is a great radio talk show host and I sure would love to hear Pat on there some day! Give them a call and try to book him on! The audience is worldwide via Internet broadcasting and I am sure the listeners would love to hear him with Jim Quinn….

For Pat: We are sending in as much as we can to the campaign! I recently heard a snip of a woman who was from the Reform Party praising you and your views on taxes and tariffs (lack thereof). It was a great piece. She just heard someone bad mouthing your book and called in to express her view! As for my view, GO REFORM!!!! We will follow!! GO PAT GO!!! God bless you and your staff and all the supporters around the US!!!
-- Kelley Chahl - Pennsylvania Brigade

Dear Brigade,
Pat draws the criticism of the establishment when he has a LUNCH with an official of the Reform Party, who is reported to be a Socialist or has Communist leanings. All of Washington and the international corporations can GROVEL before Communist China's leaders and nobody notices. Democrats even take Communist campaign money !???!
-- Jim Flanagan - Red Hook, NY

Dear Linda,
Pat Buchanan has my, and many Reform Party of Texas people's suppor...We are made equally of people who came from the Republican and Democrat parties because we feel they have abandoned American first, and we are made up equally of people who share opposite sides on social issues. But we care foremost about our country and recognize we could not accomplish a concerted change unless we united where we agreed, and agreed that we disagree in other areas...Pat Buchanan's intelligence, patriotism, consideration of American working men and women, morals, ethics, knowledge and analysis of learning from history, etc. are why we welcome his consideration to come to the party and run as our presidential candidate. Pat can be assured of members working as diligently and on their own money for him as we have to develop this party and choose Ross Perot as a candidate.
-- Jeanne Doogs - Chair, Reform Party of Texas - Ft. Worth, TX

Dear Pat,
Don't let the #&@$#& get you down!
-- Edward Cullen - Electrical Engineer - Granada Hills, CA

Dear Linda,
Wow, you certainly are working late! I assume you are on the East coast. I spent 20 years there working for DOD and lived in Alexandria. Our daughter, Regan was born there in Nov. of 1980, great election year. We altered the spelling a little so she wouldn't be the brunt of jokes in school, but the meaning is there…

I really do sense a rapidly growing ground swell of voters ready to vote for other than the 2 major parties. It's out there for the picking. I haven't felt this since the Reagan era. God bless him. You are doing a fantastic job and I know that you are very dedicated. I pray that things work out, and I really do believe that Pat carrying the Reform Party banner, and with a good credible running mate will defeat both "sell-out America" parties hands down!!!!    The very best to you and the rest of the hard working and dedicated staff. I check in with your fantastic web site twice a day.
-- Ken Stokes - Las Vegas, NV

Dear Linda,
Hi, I am a new Brigader and will support Pat to the end. I haven't got around to see if those bookstores are selling Pats books, but will soon and let you know. Also, Duver Concrete Inc. supports Pat. GO PAT GO!
-- Earl Bothwell - Des Moines - IA

Dear Linda,
Isn't it a joy to be working for a candidate that is totally unafraid to speak the truth to power? GO, PAT, GO!
      -- Paul Haas

Dear Linda,
Saturday evening, I tried to purchase a few copies of Pat's new book at both the Border's bookstore in Pentagon City (across the street from the mall) and from the Border's near Skyline Drive in Alexandria. At both locations, the books were completely unavailable.    At both locations, I asked the store clerk why they didn't have the book, and they both had similar stories. They said that the books should have already arrived there, but there was some bizarre reasons why the shipment hadn't arrived. At the Pentagon City location, she even said that the book rep had visited to apologize but there had been problems with the shipments getting on the truck correctly.

Maybe it's nothing, but it all seems fishy to me. They have tons of copies of squish Republicans like McCain and Forbes' books on display, but no Pat. In any event, maybe this info is useful for you. I will definitely buy a copy for myself and a copy for my father-in-law, but I will do so at a different bookstore. Take care and God Bless and keep up the fight. Sincerely,
      -- Kevin P. McPeak - Virginia Brigade

Dear Linda,
Checked Barnes & Noble in Hilton Head Island, SC. They had had a display of Pat's book on a table with other new non-fiction. Unfortunately (or fortunately) they were out of the book. The clerk remarked that "It's a very popular book." They have, however, none on reorder!!! He offered to order a copy for me. Imagine that, a sell-out of a "popular" book, and they have none on reorder. I told the gentleman I'd look elsewhere.
-- Barbara Meskill - Hilton Head, SC

Dear Linda,
We gotta do something about the Cincinnati Enquirer which is running an absolute jihad against Pat! Before today in the last three or so weeks, there were four unfavorable columns (Snow, Krauthammer, Dowd, Safire) and three anti-Buchanan editorial cartoons.     Today (Sunday, 10/3) they really unloosed the attack. First, editorial page editor, Peter Bronson, usually not too bad an editor, had a disgusting bootlicking column on Bush (based on an interview with two of Bush's business partners and former beer drinking buddies.) Then, on the inside page, the lead editorial was entitled "REFORM PARTY: Welcome, Pat Buchanan. Nothing under the hood" which was a very vicious attack on Pat. Inside was another hit piece by Philip Terzian.

So far I have written two letters to the editor with no response (and I have had 15 or 20 letters published by the Enquirer over the years, so it isn't my writing.) And there have been no other pro-Buchanan letters published.    I know there are a LOT of Buchanan supporters around here, at least among people I know. If there are any others in Cincinnati, the Enquirer is never going to let us know. I think that you should see if you can get people in the area (as far as Columbus, Louisville, Lexington and Indianapolis) to inundate the Enquirer with letters.
-- Pat Cleaver - "Live Free or Die" - Cincinnati, OH

Dear Pat,
I am proud to support a true American in the fight to regain and reaffirm the principles of the founding fathers. Having watched the lies and distortions of the media over the last few weeks, it is clear to me that you are a threat to the status quo - Go Pat, Go !
-- Ronald Miller - Management Consultant - San Diego, CA

Dear Linda,
This is my letter to the Tribune Review:
...In like manner I will be supporting the Reform Party. I did not vote Republican to hear such words as "bipartisan", "compromise" and "deal" used to describe the actions of those I chose to be my representative.   The Republicans were elected to accomplish the objectives and agendas they had promised. If there is a patron saint of the GOP it is certainly Pontius Pilate. How else can you explain the abrogation and abandonment of principle for the party? How else do you explain the sycophantic servitude of the Republicans to the unabashedly liberal media, the socialists of the DNC and the employers of the Clinton Administration, i.e. the Communist Chinese? Are they just obedient servants of the Orwellian "Ministry of Truth" in the New World Order? Third Parties are just the end result that happens when the existing monopolistic oligarchies of the two major parties fail to meet the expectations of the electorate.
-- Michael Guy - Pittsburgh, PA

Dear Pat,
Right On!!! Right ON!!! Go Pat Go! !
-- Robert Drobot - Milpitas, CA

Dear Brigade,
It is very heartening to see intelligent and thoughtful defenses to the deliberate and well-calculated smear attacks on PJB. Keep foremost in your minds that these are only the opening salvos by the one important group that will use ANY means to keep Buchanan off the ticket of any party. And that is the corporate group - AKA 'globalists', who give marching orders to the Washington insiders, the media, the GOP and the Democrats.

At any time, at any place, that you hear or see an unwarranted smear of PJB, speak up with the facts; write e-mails, letters: BE COUNTED!!! Get and read PJB's books. BE INFORMED. The books are being quoted without regard to context. BE PREPARED to counter these smears with the true facts.

A constant, informed and well directed response to misrepresentations must be the order of the day for the Brigade and at every level; neighborhood rallies, community newspapers, city papers, radio and television. Bear in mind that PJB is giving up the easy life to return the U.S. to the Constitutional government that enabled this Republic to flourish.
      -- Joseph McMenamin

Dear Linda,
I was pleased to see what you posted tonight on the Brigade List about a coalition throwing up a tough barrier to those who are salivating over the ideas thrown out there by Strobe Talbot who simply mouthed the desires of men like McCain, Dubya, and on and on...If PJB leaves the Republican Party, I think there will be a stampede of other honest patriots following his lead.
      -- N. Warford - Scottsdale, AZ

Dear Brigade,
If it weren't so sad, it would be funny. Listen to all of the jerks who say that they just love Pat and then run him in the ground. With friends like that who needs enemies. Tell Pat to ignore these phonies and to just present his (our) view of what really matters in this country. The establishment does not want Pat's view of ongoing matters such as NAFTA, WTO, THE WORLD BANK, HOW THE WORKING MEN AND WOMEN ARE GIVEN THE SHAFT -- oh, yes, I forgot the IMF. I have talked to people in various parts of this country. They deplore the two parties in power. Run Pat Run. We will get you on every state ballot in this country. Labor is also with you. Don't disappoint us.
-- Don Beau - Redding, CA

Dear Linda,
I sent this in response to Henry Lamb's column of Oct. 1st on WorldNetDaily:
Dear Mr. Lamb, Having just read your column entitled "The Charter for Global Democracy", I agree with you that having the United Nations become the "Global Authority" can only lead to the demise of the United States of America and the Freedom and Sovereignty that we citizens enjoy. In your article, you state that no Presidential candidate has made clear his/her standing on this crucial matter.

However, one candidate, namely Patrick J. Buchanan has always held the National Sovereignty of the United States of America as one of his top issues. Mr. Buchanan is very clear that as President, he would NEVER subject our Country to the rule of the U.N. Further, Mr. Buchanan would not allow our Military to be subordinated under the command of the U.N.    I recommend taking a closer look at Pat Buchanan's leadership and strong position on how our Foreign/International Policy should be first and foremost in the direct National Interest and Constitutional Loyalty to the United States of America. Regards,
