Is there anything these people will not lie about? In March, Bill Clinton said he was unaware of any
evidence that Red China's spying at the Los Alamos nuclear weapons lab had occurred during his term
in office.
On NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday, Energy Secretary Bill Richardson admitted that this was untrue. In
fact, the FBI briefed Mr. Clinton last November about on-going Chinese espionage.
The President had lied again. So had Mr. Richardson and National Security Adviser Sandy Berger
who told the same lie. Attorney General Janet Reno merely lies by omission, refusing to answer under
oath why the Justice Department blocked the FBI investigation into the Los Alamos spying, as she has
the probe of the Communist contributions to the Clinton-Gore campaign.
The Reno Justice Department
is the black hole into which all the Clinton-China connections have disappeared. Meanwhile, when he is
not lying, Mr. Clinton is doing the other thing at which he excels groveling before the
ChiComs.
Following three days of what Pat Buchanan calls "mobocracy" in Beijing, including holding
our embassy staff hostage, Mr. Clinton offered serial apologies for the mistaken bombing of Red
China's embassy in Belgrade. China has exploited the error to whip up anti-Americanism, to which the
President responds by groveling, lest trade suffer. The damage this President continues to inflict upon
our nation is simply incalculable.
