BUCHANAN BALLOT DRIVE ADVANCES Campaign Secures Ballot Access
in Oklahoma, Arkansas;
Files in Oregon, Illinois, Nevada,
Alabama
VIENNA, VA-Today, the Buchanan
campaign announced that it has met ballot
access requirements in Oklahoma and
Arkansas, and has filed more than enough
signatures to win access in Oregon, Illinois,
Nevada, and Alabama.
In Oklahoma, Buchanan Reform secured a
ballot line for the Reform Party by submitting
88,622 signatures, in excess of the 43,680
requirement, and in Arkansas, filed 1,198
verified signatures; 1,000 were necessary. In
Oregon, the campaign submitted 15,446
verified signatures, far beyond the 13,778
required, and in Nevada, delivered 10,433
signatures - twice the obligatory 4,098.
Today, continuing the forward momentum,
Mr. Buchanan will join supporters in
Springfield, Illinois to submit 60,000
signatures, more than double the 25,000
names needed. Buchanan backers in
Alabama will also file over 9,000 signatures
today - 4,000 more than the state requires.
In addition to the 20 states where the Reform
Party is already on the ballot and these six
new states, the Buchanan campaign has
secured access in South Dakota, North
Carolina, Utah, Hawaii, Colorado, Arizona
and Wyoming, and remains on track to appear
on all 50 state ballots this November.
