PRO-LIFE SENATORS
"In the 26 years since abortion was declared a "constitutional right" 36 million unborn children have been done to death in the United States. With the proliferation of partial birth abortion, a procedure in which babies are literally pulled out of the mother's womb in order to be killed, the barbarity of the abortionist mentality is on full display. I applaud the 63 Senators who renounced this horrific procedure and I urge President Clinton not to veto the Senate's effort to stop this wicked practice as he has done twice before. As President, I will do everything in my power to bring to an end the circumstances allowing thousands of lives to be terminated in this manner.
"The 47 Republicans who voted against the sanctification of Roe v, Wade showed particular backbone in their readiness to stand up against the callous Supreme Court decision which sanctions this war against the child.
"At a time when hundreds of thousands of American families show their readiness to surmount enormous obstacles to adopt children, this nation's relentless war against the unborn reflects practical as well as moral blindness.
