Yes, that is a strong headline. But I wanted to make it
shocking enough to make sure you opened and read this
page. The issue would not be a topic for discussion except
that Jim Mangia (RP National Secretary) has made it so.
We all know where Pat stands on social issues. Verneys Crew
knew it before they invited him into the party. Pat has pledged
not to change the platform. The only time social issues are
mentioned by Pat is when a reporter asks him a question in
response to an allegation by the Crew.
Now, it's time to take a closer look at Jim Mangia and his
agenda for the Reform Party. Once you read this and do further
research on your own you will conclude that Jim Mangia is not
only laying the groundwork to turn the RP into a Homosexual
Rights party, but he is using his position to promote and
finance his gay agenda -- and worse yet, Russ Verney has
been in it with Mangia, right from the start.
This is in addition with Mangia's ongoing public remarks
against Pat Buchanan while as Party secretary he is honor
bound to remain neutral. I am asking anyone in the RP who
has a shred of decency left, to begin the proceedings to
remove Jim Mangia from office at the next opportunity.
See press clips below and a few emails for suggestions on
further research.

"....the anti-Buchanan forces are rallying behind John Hagelin,
the founder of the Natural Law Party. "Don't underestimate
Hagelin," said James Mangia, the Reform Party's national
secretary who opposes Buchanan. "There's a tremendous
growing opposition among the grass roots of the party against
Buchanan. Believe me, it's going to be a bloodbath at that
convention," Mangia said.."

"I think what these comments expose is that Pat Buchanan's
hateful and intolerant views are in direct violation of the
principles of the Reform Party,'' said National Secretary Jim
Mangia, who is gay. ``The Reform Party stands for political,
economic, and trade reform and we don't believe in dividing the
American people based on social issues....''

"And Skelton cautions, "The Reform Party mechanism is
tightly under the control of Dallas [where Perot's general
headquarters is located]. Perot will, with the slightest
provocation, remove local leadership and replace them with
toadies."
Not true, says Silver Lake resident Jim Mangia, the party's
openly gay state secretary and one of two former Patriot Party
members among the state Reform Party's top officers. "I have
seen no heavy-handedness on the part of Dallas at all."

Perot and Populist Group See Benefits in an Alliance
August 21, 1996
http://www.usglobenet.com/patriot/atcl1.html
"We could never figure out what the New Alliance agenda
was," said Bill Lynch, a senior administration and campaign
aide to former Mayor David Dinkins of New York. "The one
common thread was that they were always trying to move in
and take over someone else's political operation."
Some critics call the New Alliance a cult that used Newman's
national network of unusual psychotherapy centers, where
clients receive short-term therapy in groups as large as 25, to
attract and isolate vulnerable young people, then sold them on
the idea of participating in, and contributing to, the New
Alliance Party as a kind of "social therapy" ....
When Perot announced the creation of the Reform Party last
fall, one of the first places his aides turned for help was the
Patriot Party.
Verney recalled that in October, when he had to get nearly
90,000 California voters registered to the Reform Party in less
than three weeks to qualify for a place on the state's
presidential ballot, he immediately called Jim Mangia, the
chairman of the Patriot Party in California and a former member
of New Alliance.
Mangia re-registered 8,500 Patriot Party members in California
as Reform Party members, then leaned on those members to
register a few thousand more. His efforts and those of others
led to more than 120,000 registrations. Mangia is now the
secretary for the Reform Party of California.
Part of the appeal of the Reform Party to Mangia and the other
former members of New Alliance is the chance to get a wide
hearing for their beliefs.
"It's like the left going into unions controlled by gangsters,"
Newman said. "You have a chance to make a statement to the
rank and file, and then maybe you can do something about the
gangsters."

The Washington Blade 1/26/96
"A Gay activist and former candidate with a left-leaning political
party that aligned itself with Nation of Islam head Louis
Farrakhan was elected last week as secretary of the California
Reform Party, the rapidly growing independent party founded
by former presidential candidate Ross Perot."
"Los Angeles activist Jim Mangia, a longtime member of the
controversial New Alliance Party, said that party disbanded in
1994 when many of its followers created the Patriot Party, for
which Mangia now serves as national secretary. In a telephone
interview Wednesday, Mangia said the Patriot Party has
thrown its support to Perot's Reform Party and is urging its
members to change their voter registration to that of the
Reform Party."
"Mangia, who ran in 1990 as candidate for the San Francisco
Board of Supervisors under the New Alliance Party, said Ross
Perot's platform for reforming the nation's political system is
consistent with the broad goals of the now-defunct New
Alliance Party and that of its current incarnation, the Patriot
Party. He called his appointment as secretary and board
member of the Reform Party of California an historic
development."
'This is the first time in American history that an openly Gay
leader has been in a top leadership position in a major political
party,' he said in a Jan. 12 press release.
He said his appointment also marks the first time that the
Lesbian and Gay community is on the ground floor in the
formation and development of a major potlitical party in this
country.'

Update - Southern California's gay and
lesbian weekly newspaper.
In an exclusive interview, openly Gay Patriot Party of California
Co-chair Jim Mangia told Update his party would be urging its
members to re-register as members of the Reform Party, a
party which has been created by Ross Perot and the members
of his United We Stand America (UWSA) organization.
"We will remain independent, but will participate in building the
Reform Party....Mangia also announced an upcoming press
conference to be held with Russ Verney, National executive
director of UWSA, and Reform Party interim chair, Jim
Campbell, to make the announcement of the cooperation
agreement...
In answer to questions concerning the role his party would play
in the Reform Party, Mangia gave a brief review of the goals of
his party, which are nearly identical to those of the Reform
group. He said that Patriot went even further with candidates
who expected Patriot Party support. "Candidates who want our
support will have to sign a written document pledging to
support our principles. We want to try to bring some of these
mechanisms to Reform," to assure it will stay in the control of
its members and not be taken over by "career politicians." ....
"Once the Reform party is on the ballot for the primary, we
[Patriot] get to be instrumental in electing Central Committee
members."

Mangia's move was his speech as Reform Party Secretary at
the C-SPAN covered Gay March on Washington. He tried to
DESTROY Buchanan on national television for profit. The
crowds ate it up and wrote checks for Mangia's Long Beach
WAR chest to DESTROY Buchanan. This all happened prior to
the Bowes time-line. Search Jim Mangia www.elibrary.com

Mr: MANGIA: "Many, many members are prepared to
DESTROY the administrative structure of the Reform Party in
order to prevent Buchanan from taking it over. It means parties
passing resolutions and not allowing Pat Buchanan to come
onto the ballot, some parties dissolving themselves and then
coming back in, you know, the day after the election,
rebuilding and moving forward. But, you know, sometimes in
order to go forward, you have to take a step back." -Jim
Mangia
Summation: The GLAAD PAC (search GLAAD at
www.google.com ) has $50 million in off the books soft-money
to pay Gay lobbyists to DESTROY Pat Buchanan by 'any
means possible'.
Long Beach will be GLAADS Battleground and Mangia will lead
the charge (AMEX-VISA-MASTER CARD). Mangia should be
dismissed as Secretary and barred from the convention for
security reasons.
Note: Mangia gets his marching orders from Newman & Fulani.
WE are being exploited for profit by Lyndon La Rouche trained
hustlers!! And you wonder why Buchanan's supporters are
aggressive? WAKE UP!!

ReformParty@webtv.net writes:
Reggy is RIGHT about Mangia being a major LOBBYIST for the
Gay & Lesbian movement (search GLAAD and Jim Mangia at
www.google.com ).
How do you get to become a Will Destroy The Opposition For
Money paid lobbyist and how do you make a name for yourself
in the Gay movement? Easy, you become the Secretary of a
political party and misuse your office to SELL the Gay Agenda
on national television (see Mangia speech: Gay March on
Washington C-SPAN) by trying to destroy any candidate that
is less-than-pro-Gay (PJB), and you you start a pro-Gay PAT
RIOT at their National Convention.
The only issue Mangia has is the Social Issue. So, what is he
doing in a political party that has no stand on "Social Issues"
and why is he still Secretary of the Reform Party?
PJB is PAYDAY for Mangia and he is going to cash in BIG
TIME with GLAAD (they have $50 million in their soft-money
War Chest to destroy candidates like PJB and Alan Keyes).
Mangia is a major political writer for Gay publications and is
well known as a fund raiser for Gay causes. PJB & Alan Keyes
are BIG MONEY Gay causes.
Why does the Reform Party allow a party official to SELL his
social goods on Party time and at our expense? The Long
Beach Convention will be Mangia's Omaha Beach and he plans
to WIN this battle by ANY means possible.
Mangia is not about our reform movement, he is about making
a name for himself as a paid Gay Lobbyist Hit Man. IMO he
should be fired as Secretary and not be allowed in the
Convention for security reasons. The Convention should be
about REFORM, not a Gay opportunist named Jim Mangia!!
